ESTABLISHED IN 1889
Since opening its doors in 1889, the Doutta Galla has stood proud on Racecourse Road, watching the world roll by, pints in hand and stories on tap. Originally dreamt up by local legend Thomas Miller, the pub was built to be more than bricks and mortar. It was made to bring people together. A place for knock-off beers, family feeds, footy debates, and a few tall tales told over the bar.
It’s had a few names over the years, but the Doot stuck – just like the locals who’ve been calling it home for generations. Whether it’s race day or a regular Tuesday, there’s always a reason to drop in.
It’s where mates meet, strangers become friends, and time has a funny way of standing still – no pretence, no palaver, just your trusty local, doing what it’s always done best.
Opening Hours:
Sunday to Thursday, 11.30am – 10pm
Friday & Saturday, 11.30am – late
